Maybelline BB Cushion is my latest purchase at the moment. Though I have been toying with the idea of using a cushion for as long as I can remember, I wasn’t sure of the shade since the brands I was looking in for were all Korean. So when Maybelline came up with the BB Cushion I simply had to try.
Maybelline BB Cushion gives enhanced coverage. It comes with 60% moisture essence and SPF 29 to keep the skin moisturized and sun protected. Its compact format allows achieving the perfect flawless look anytime, anywhere and every day.

Maybelline BB Cushion Review
What I Love –
- It spreads evenly
- It makes the skin look fresh and glowing
- It comes with SPF 29 and PA++ to keep the skin sun protected
- It conceals the spots to give a clear looking skin
- It is perfect for daily use
- It comes in a lovely packaging
What I don’t Love –
- It only comes in 2 shades – Light and Natural
- It doesn’t suit warm skin tones at all
Plus, if you are used to beauty blenders like me, you would find using this applicator sponge pretty uncomfortable. Of course, that’s the case with most of the cushions, they all come in similar packing with similar sponge applicator!
Luckily, using a beauty blender with this cushion gives the flawless application which I absolutely love!
That aside, if there’s one thing I disliked about this Maybelline BB Cushion is the shades available. I have taken the Natural shade and yet, it stands out so much on my skin (I am a warm skin tone) that I had to tone it down with my MAC Compact. Luckily, the trick worked and the final result is pretty good!
But if you are trying to set this to your skin tone using a translucent compact or powder, be prepared to be hugely disappointed. It sort of gives a whitish cast on the skin.
Rest assured, a flawless whitish cast, though. This suits Cool Skin tones and fair skin tones perfectly!
But, if you have a MAC Compact handy (tinted and not the translucent one) that matches with your skin tone; this Maybelline BB Cushion gives a flawless base to work on!
