Cleansing is an integral part of the everyday skincare routine and is also one of the key factors in keeping the skin clean, young and bright too. While there are a bunch of cleansing options out there in the market, Cleansing Balms are the current obsession with the beauty pack.
So what is a Cleansing Balm?
A Cleansing Balm comes in an emollient base with the moisturizing benefits of oils which help to instantly melt away even the most stubborn makeup, leaving the skin and even the pores all cleaned out.
Sounds amazing right?
Today am talking about the cleansing balm special kit from Banila Co. Clean It that I got from Skin18.com.
If you are new to Skin18.com, it’s an online site for everything Korean beauty. I have tried couple of products and masks from this site already and I love them for the discounts and offers they run all year around!

Expire: 31 March 2016
Coming back, like you can see this kit came with 4 cleansing balms in sample size – Original (for combination skin), Purity (for sensitive skin), Resveratrol (for oily skin), and Radiance (for dry skin).
I have tried the Original and Purity (these both suit my combination and sensitive skin perfectly) and here’s what I love –
- Gentle on skin
- Emollient gel like formula
- Pleasant scent
- Removes the stubborn makeup too
- Leaves the skin fresh and clean
- Doesn’t leave the skin irritated and/or dry
Honestly, I don’t have anything at the moment that I dislike about this cleansing balm. On a side note, I have lovedusing these cleansing balms as opposed to makeup removers which leave the skin a bit dry and sensitive post cleaning.
On the upside, if you are like me who loves to try the product before getting a full sized product, then this is an amazing kit to get. This also gives an opportunity to see which balm suits your skin type.
That said, here’s how I love to use it –
- Massage a small scoop of cleansing balm on to the face.
- Make gentle circular motions with finger tips to help melt the makeup.
- Use luke warm water to rinse well (water makes the balm to emulsify into milky lather)
Price – 14$
