Sugar Cosmetics is one of my favorite names at the moment. From Kohls and Kajals to Lip Crayons, they have been my favorite ever since they launched. My first encounter with Matte as Hell Lip Crayon was with the shade Mary Poppins. The name itself excited me much; vintage-y pink was on my mind, like literally! And to my happiness it turned out to be a gorgeous pink with strong undertones of blue-violet which actually looks wonderful in real life than in photos.
And then came Holly Go Lightly, which knocked me out totally. It’s one of the best shades I own till date. It’s sort of peachy-nude which is a very soft and feminine color and is perfect for any day.
But for as long as I can remember Poison Ivy was on my mind but I never bothered to get my hands on it. Holly Go Lightly kept me too happy for as long as I can remember!
But when I found Sugar Matte as Hell Lip Crayon in Poison Ivy in my July Fab Bag, I jumped with joy! The timing couldn’t be anymore perfect, with colder months just around the corner it’s time to switch on to the darker hues and the like. So this was such a welcome!
Poison Ivy is a very pretty shade and one you must own at any cost if you love dark colors. This color is buildable from a pretty pink berry shade to much dark gothic like berry shade. It’s flawless even after hours of application and doesn’t settle in lines despite of re-applying to maintain that vampish look.
That said, I simply love how well it looks when blended with finger tips to give a soft rosy hue to the lips!
Here’s how it looks –
