Innisfree Water Fit Cushion + Cushion Case

Innisfree Water Fit Cushion and Cushion case were on my wishlist like forever now. I think they have rave reviews and prettiest cushion cases than any other brand at the moment. Despite reading so many rave reviews, finding the right shade for my skin tone was definitely a humongous task.

Plus, most of the Korean Cushions never seem to fit Indian skin tone so when Innisfree launched their products on Nykaa I was super excited. I sincerely hoped they added two or more shades that compliment Indian skin. Or so I thought!

Here’s what I got –

Innisfree Water Fit Cushion Price (shade W33) – 900 ₹

Cushion Case (14) – 600 ₹

Buy – Cushion, Case

What I Love–

  1. It has light and dewy formula
  2. It provides UV protection, it has SPF34 PA+++
  3. It imparts a radiant glow
  4. It has real Jeju Green Tea for moisturizing
  5. It has a faint pleasant scent
  6. It is travel-friendly

What I don’t Love –

  1. Not an exact match to my skin tone

One of the things I love about this whole is that I can customize the case as often as I want. Plus, they are super cute to have them in a handbag.

That said, the only thing that didn’t work for me, in particular, is its sheer formula. Since it is so light and dewy, it barely covers any dark spots and blemishes. Unless you have no spots and blemishes to worry about, this isn’t going to help much!

And that’s not all, though I have picked up the darkest shade of all, it somehow didn’t suit my skin. Maybe it’s the ingredient that helps skin whitening; my skin had a whitish cast (very faint) which I found very artificial.

And if you have used MAC foundation for a while now (like me), you’d instantly know when a foundation shade doesn’t suit you. Period!

But unfortunately, can’t blame the brand either. None of the Koreans have a yellow tinge to their skin tone like Indians do, so naturally, their foundations are never inclined to cover that aspect.

However, I did find that the Innisfree Water Fit cushion is easy to use, easy to carry around, gives a thin and light coverage which is perfect for an everyday makeup.

Not looking for a full coverage? Then cushions are the best choice!

P.s – I have a warm skin tone and hence this did not suit me. But if you have a cool skin tone then this might be worth a shot.

I did add a drop or two of my MAC foundation (my skin lightened up a bit and hence the MAC foundation I have at the moment seems dark too) to the cushion to suit my skin tone. Not sure if it’s right thing or not, but I did it anyways. Try it at your own risk .. lol 🙂

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Pact Review
Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Pact is my first compact from Korean Cosmetics and I must say, I have been loving this so far. So am here today to share about this No-Sebum pact from Innisfree which claims to control sebum and give a soft and non-oily look. Read on to see how much it faired in my opinion.

Claims :

The sebum control powder pact is designed to portray soft and powdery complexion. Oil-controlling and skin-perfecting powder sets foundation and blots away excess shine to keep skin fresh and matte. This translucent powder contains Jeju natural mineral and natural originated mint, ingredients that refresh and nourish skin with every use.

Here’re some good things –
6-free formula: Paraben, Talc, Mineral Oil, Artificial Dye, Animal ingredients, Synthetic fragrance
Innisfree
Packaging :
Simple and fuss free, the compact comes in a matte finish mint colored round case with a snap on lid

**Puff is not in the pictures**

The pact comes with a puff which seems quite handy and comes with a protective cover which keeps the pact and the puff intact without touching each other, hygienic if you ask me (I tend to use a brush many times than the puff unless in an emergency)

Texture and color :

Translucent but in white, which when applied and blended well doesn’t leave any whitish cast behind
Scent :
Mild mint scent which is pleasant
Sebum and Oil Control :

Like it claims, this product gives a perfect matte finish and keeps the skin shine free. Though might need quick touch ups often for Oily skins

What I like –
  • Small and compact case
  • 6 free formula
  • Natural ingredients
  • Faint Minty scent
  • Doesn’t leave a white cast
  • Leaves the skin shine free
What I Don’t Like –
  • Low coverage
In my opinion, if you have a combination skin like mine; then this product works perfectly for you. Where the oily skins might not find this much useful because of the frequent touch ups one will have to do; but if you don’t mind that, then this is a great product. Same time, if you are looking for a medium to high coverage; this is not the product.
It gives a low coverage which in fact aids in letting the skin breathe. High coverage is never ideal for a daily routine!
Still one has to keep a note on the climate and the temperature around. Currently, in Winter season I hardly find my skin shiny except few times and this works just fine (in fact much better than higher end international brands) though I must say its true test comes when it’s summer here.

This Innisfree No-Sebum comes in pact as well as powder form. I personally find powder to be quite messy to manage so my preference always goes to pact.

What is your choice ? Do you like pact or powder to set the foundation? Have you tried this pact? What’s your opinion?
