Adesse Gel Nail Polish in Surfer Girl

If you were keeping up with my Instagram stories and updates (@justsangy) you’ll know this was the polish that came in my Ipsy May Bag. Gone are the mornings on the beach and afternoons by the pool, yet this polish is just perfect if you are into soft colors and pastels like me.

In my opinion, getting gel nails without having to go to a salon is simply genius. Getting perfectly polished nails in minutes is definitely a dream come true – no buffing the nails like crazy, no UV lamps and no top coats either!

Here’s Adesse New York Gel Effect Nail Lacquer in Surfer Girl

Adesse

What I Love –

  • It is 5 Free, Cruelty-Free, Paraben Free, Sulfate Free, Petrochemical Free, GMO-Free, Triclosan Free and is totally Vegan
  • It is infused with organic bamboo extract, argan and shea oils to soothe and rejuvenate the nails
  • It has organic mica, minerals, and pigments to deliver high-definition color and super shiny finish that won’t chip or scratch
  • Its formula is super opaque and gives a flawless finish in 1-2 coats
  • It is long-wearing and fast drying nail polish long-wearing and fast drying nail polish that gives nails the “plump” look of a gel manicure without a UV or LED lamp.
  • It is also pretty shiny and looks like gel on nails
  • Its flat brush dispenses the perfect amount of polish on each nail, so it’s pretty much foolproof

Price – 18$

Buy – Surfer Girl

What I do not Love –

None

As much as the price seems scary, I am in love with the Adesse Surfer Girl’s color, formula and the finish of this polish. Plus, all the colors in this collection are super amazing. I might get some from this collection when I get the chance again to shop from US beauty stores.

What did you love about this polish? Have you tried any polish from this brand yet?

Maybelline Nail Polish Buried Treasure

Maybelline Nail Polish Buried Treasure

Maybelline Nail Polish Buried Treasure

Maybelline Nail Polishes made into my stash quite a lot and until recently I didn’t realize I stocked up so many of these Maybelline Polishes.

While all of their Nail Polish Collections are good, I particularly love their ColorShow Collection. These are worth every rupee spent and make a wonderful change when I am in the mood for a quick and yet simple mani.

One of the best things about this Maybelline Nail Polishes is that they offer a variety of colors plus they are quite inexpensive.

I also tend to wait for the Sale time, when I can stock up on as many shades as I can.

Today am showing you one such polish which I happened to buy like ages ago and never tried until recently.

What I Love –

  1. Packaging is simple and cute
  2. Its brush design complements the formula with precise lacquer application
  3. The brush is conveniently wide enough to cover the nail in 2-3 strokes
  4. The Formula is flawless; it’s crème gloss finish and applies super easy
  5. In 1-2 coats, this polish gives a flawless opaque finish
  6. Long lasting and less expensive when compared to other higher end brands which claim similar formula and longevity
  7. Colors from this collection are amazing
  8. Chip-resistant and doesn’t need a top coat at all

Price – 100 ₹

Buy – Nykaa

As much as I liked this Maybelline Nail Polish Buried Treasure, there is one thing am unsure about this shade. The more coats you tend to apply the more golden hue is observed. It might not suit all skin tones and might look washed off on many. Also, it tends to look dull after a day or two.

On the other hand, this might look fabulous when applied over similar base color. This can tone down the golden hue and also may not look as washed off as before.

Have you tried Maybelline Nail Polish Buried Treasure yet? What are your thoughts?

Sephora Formula X Nail Polish Brain Child has to be one of my favorite nail colors till date. It practically looks like MAC Heroine (lipstick) on nails! Plus the crème gloss finish gives a super flawless finish which makes this all the more appealing. Before I go on with what I love and what I don’t, here are the swatches for you –

  2. Most of the colors from this Collection are discontinued

Overall, it is one of the must-have shades if you can get your hands on. While I got mine from Sephora US store a couple of months ago, this doesn’t seem to be available online for sure. That said, the polishes from this collection are amazing in the formula. So if you find something that you like, don’t even think twice!

I have 2 more shades to show you from this Collection, which I will cover in coming posts.

And if you are heading to the online store of Sephora right now, don’t forget to check out the neutral shades they have got. They look amazing and I definitely have my eyes on them at the moment.

But if you are heading to the store, do look out for their Pastels Collection. Unfortunately, they seem to be out of stock/not available anymore kinda situation. Either way, do check out this collection by Sephora, am sure you won’t regret it!

P.s – As I draft this post and refreshed the page, I see lesser colors and collection. Was that a glitch I saw more shades before? Or was I day dreaming of this collection? I can’t say for sure!

But you keep an eye on this collection 😉

Maybelline Newyork Firewood Brown from Bright Sparks Collection

Maybelline Newyork Firewood Brown from Bright Sparks Collection

Maybelline NewYork Firewood Brown is an all time favorite of mine. While I love bright and pastel colors for my nails for all Spring/Summer but with season change I often turn to colors like browns, taupes, and greys. And now that the winds and clouds have taken a turn and we might experience super cold climate for a little more longer, I thought this shade would be just perfect to show you.

Firewood Brown is from the Maybelline Newyork Bright Sparks Collection which was launched a while ago. While others are uber bright, this one shade from the collection seems just perfect for the colder months.
Here are the swatches –
Maybelline Newyork Firewood Brown

I personally love this color way too much. It is a beautiful neutral shade that can never go out of the trend plus it is not very expensive.
Besides, it’s crème gloss formula dries quickly and the color doesn’t fade or chip soon. It is also not streaky and just needs a coat or two to get the opaque finish.

This shade is a perfect wood brown color and suits most of the Indian skin tones. And if you love to change colors for the Colder months, just like me, this is the one you shouldn’t miss trying.

Price – 85 ₹ (64 ₹ on Nykaa, 100 ₹ + delivery charges on Flipkart)
Buy – Nykaa, Flipkart
Now that I have got myself a brown shade, am off hunting for some greys and taupes. This reminds me am sure I have those colors in my stash already and I just hope I find them in time before the season passes. Lol

Lyn Lacquers | Bunny Nose and Lady Luck Lilac Swatches Review

Beauty
Lyn Lacquers

Lyn Lacquers

Lyn Lacquers has been my favorite ever since I first swatched their polish in shade Bunny Nose. From then on I got myself quite a few shades from them. And as much as I love all their polishes, two of them are my all-time favorite.

Lyn Lacquers

  1. Lyn Lacquers Bunny Nose from Pinks Collection
  2. Lyn Lacquers Lady Luck Lilac from Plumps Collection

Here are the swatches –

Lyn Lacquers

Lyn Lacquers

Lyn Lacquers

Lyn Lacquers

What I Love –

  • These lacquers come in simple square shaped bottles, a nice change from the routine.
  • They have crème gloss finish.
  • A coat or two is enough to get the opacity
  • They dry quickly.
  • Brush bristles are wide enough to cover the nail in a stroke or two.
  • Has a wide range of colors.

What I don’t love –

  • The scent is slightly pungent for my liking.

Lyn Lacquers Bunny Nose from Pinks Collection is not solid beige, but a soft warm-hued pink with beige undertones. It’s an on-trend nail color with a touch of pink and beige making this as a perfect compromise for anyone who doesn’t prefer all/solid beige on nails.

However, on the other side whoever has been wearing a lot of beige lately; this shade would be a wonderful change since it has a hint of pink.

On the upside, it is an awesome shade to have this season.

On the other hand, Lady Luck Lilac is another shade that’s so apt for the season. A soft muted purple that gives way to pretty lilac shade, it suits any skin tone and reminds of the color that would be a great option this season.

Overall, a must buy if you have been into brights a lot lately as this shade makes such a nice change from the routine and not to forget it’s also a perfect color for any season.

L’Oreal Paris A L’Huile Collection – 5 Polish Swatches

Paris A L'Huile Collection

Paris A L'Huile Collection

L’Oreal Paris A L’Huile Collection – 5 Polish Swatches

L’Oreal Paris A L’Huile Collection is my favorite at the moment. L’Oreal polishes never cease to impress me and their latest collection A L’Huile is breathtakingly beautiful. Slightly on a pricier side, this collection is available in 22 stunning shades across all the beauty shops and on online too.

Price – 399 (currently on discount and is available at 339)

Buy – http://www.nykaa.com/lorealhuile

So, what makes these polishes pricey and look so gorgeous?
L’Oreal Paris patented Oil-in color technology. Through this technology, these polishes are infused with 4 precious oils – Rose, Camellia Seed, Lotus Bottom, and Argan which gives these polishes that color depth and extra shine that last longer than other polishes.

Here are the swatches of 5 polishes from L’Oreal Paris A L’Huile Collection –

Violet Vendome

L'Oreal Paris A L'Huile Collection

This is probably one polish that got me crazy in love. It looks like MAC Heroine Lipstick on nails. And if you are like me, you’d know what that really means.
On a side note, it is a classic violet that has undertones of pink. It is also one of the few colors which is not so transparent and shows opaque in one coat of polish.
*Shown here with two coats.

Fuchsia Palace

L'Oreal Paris A L'Huile Collection

This is one color any girl would instantly fall in love with. It is a gorgeous Fuchsia pink color with rosy hues. Again it is one of the few shades that goes opaque in one coat of polish.
*Shown here with two coats

Rose Ballet

L'Oreal Paris A L'Huile Collection

This is another color you can’t help but love instantly. It is a classic rose color but with hues of coral undertones. This is not a bright color but definitely quite catchy to the eye. Another color that goes opaque in a single coat of polish.
*Shown here with two coats

Greige Amoureux
L'Oreal Paris A L'Huile Collection

This is one of those classic grey shades that is hard to miss. It is also a perfect wintery color if you love neutrals and greys. Again, it is another color that goes opaque in a single coat of polish.
*Shown here with two coats

Dimanche Après-Midi

L'Oreal Paris A L'Huile Collection

This is one of those soft ballerina pinks which is every girl’s favorite! It is one of the few polishes from the collection that needs 2-3 (2 generous or 3 thin) coats of polish for a perfect opaque finish.
*Shown here with two generous coats

Looking at the color, formula, and long lasting feature, I think they are rightly priced. I have few more polishes to show you, so don;t forget to check back!

So, those are my current 5 favorites from the L’Oreal Paris A L’Huile Collection. What are your favorites from this collection?

JUICE | Brand New Salon at Madhapur Hyderabad

Beauty
Juice Salon

human hair wigs

Weekends are for pampering. The week long slog and work makes we want to relax and unwind at the nearest possible opportunity. While I definitely take off from cooking over weekends, thanks to Dear H, I also treat myself to hair spas, manicures and pedicures often to feel refreshed and start the week again with all new energy.

And in such a routine, when I got a chance to stop by the new Salon at Madhapur, Hyderabad and experience their services; I was more than overjoyed.

Did you know?

JUICE Salon at Madhapur, Hyderabad is a 4 months old while they have salons across the city for the last 10 yrs!!

Coming back, my recent visit to JUICE Salon was one of a kind! If you are a nail polish lover like me, you’d instantly feel the same. The store welcomes you with a visual treat to the eyes – LYN Lacquers. I was for a moment lost admiring those beauties, the colors are beyond expectations. If you have seen my recent post where in I mentioned my two favorite Spring/Summer polishes; you’d know am already in love with Lyn polishes.

Lyn lacquers

Did you know?

Lyn Lacquers are the in-house product of JUICE Salon!

Now we don’t have to depend on online shopping to get our favorite Lyn polishes. Just head over to the nearest JUICE Salon and you have an abundance of choice.

Yes, you are most welcome!

After such a temptation, it was hard not to get a mani done. Here, I opted for gel nails (not extensions) with pretty pinks, glitters and white.

Juice Salon

After nails, it was time for the hair and wigs!

If you have been following me on Instagram and Snapchat, you’d know I have refreshed my Ombré recently. That meant next few weeks I need to look after my hair with utmost care and do my best to keep it soft and manageable.

*Hair color often leaves hair dry and frizzy, making it highly prone to breakage*

So I opted for a hair spa at the JUICE Salon.

My hair was washed, pampered and styled (on my request) and here’s how it looked like post hair spa –

The curls stayed till next day and hair felt super duper soft. The softness lasted considerably well as compared to the hair spas I have got done at other salons.

Most importantly, the massage was definitely de-stressing and helped me to relax well.

Later on, I strolled around checking out their in-salon retail store. Apart from the Lyn Lacquers, they even stock many other reputed brand products. As for me, my attention was immediately caught by Tigi.

Tigi

  Hair Replacement Systems Australia

If you have read my post on how I volumize hair using Tigi shampoo, you’d know I have been a fan of this particular range since last 6 months and more. Luckily, this one is approved by both the hair stylists (one who did my hair color and even the one who did my hair spa at JUICE Salon) for my colored hair. The only hitch is the availability of Tigi products.

While the brand itself claimed to be exclusively available at Lakme Salons, the ones that are available online proved risky (remember the bad experience I had with a Flipkart seller??).

To my relief, all that ended here! I found a range of Tigi products at JUICE in-salon retail store, so I took this opportunity to pick my favorites – Tigi Shampoo and Hair Mask.

lace front wigs

Apart from Tigi, they even stock Schwarzkopf, GK, Just Herbs, Khadi, Bodyography, Rusk, L’Oréal and Lyn Polishes to name few.

Overall, the experience was lovely and with so many favorite brands just at finger tips; visits would always be dual beneficial!

How do you like to unwind on weekends? Have you been to JUICE Salon yet?

Don’t forget to check out the new one at Madhapur. And while you are at it, check out their hair spa services.

hair spa offer

All you lovely bunch out there can avail this hair spa at just ₹ 999 which usually costs around          ₹ 1500 – ₹ 1800.

Pls note – This offer is only valid through summer, so go and get little pampered ASAP!

Also if you are curious as who did my nails and hair, ask for Priyanka (Nail Artist) and Arjun (Hair Stylist) and don’t forget to tell them I sent you!
