SUGAR Cocoa Nail Lacquer Collection

SUGAR Cocoa Nail Lacquer Collection

SUGAR Cocoa Nail Lacquer Collection is the latest launch by Sugar Cosmetics and it is one collection you hardly can miss.

This collection has a total of 10 beautiful shades – browns and golds in glimmering and matte formulas. While some are the routine chic, some of these shades are really unique and are simply perfect for the winter.

And today I have 5 shades (out of 10) to show you. While I loved each and every color, I have been biased and I do have my absolute favorites already! Did I mention that these shades not only look beautiful in real but picture so damn good too?

Here are the swatches of 5 Shades from SUGAR Cocoa Nail Lacquer Collection

Bridal Brown, if you have guessed already, is my first favorite. It is not super glittery or holds and tugs at any delicate fabric like other glitter polishes do. Plus, it’s a matte black with rose gold glitters. It is super stunning and works with any outfit in winter. If you are looking for some glam nails and do not like super shiny ones, then this one is for you.

Show of Sands is my second favorite. It is subtle, it is matte and has super fine glitter that is almost negligible. This one is perfect if you want everyday glam nails and don’t want to go overboard. This looks absolutely stunning outfits in blacks and whites.

Tan About Town, is my third favorite. I was looking for lip colors similar to this one and here I found a nail polish! This, again, looks stunning with outfits in black! It’s a beautiful everyday color and would be great for any occasion.

Brass Balls and Social Sepia are great colors too. While one is perfect Autumn/Winter color, another is a beautiful shade that works with almost all traditional Indian outfits.

That said, I am super impressed with this Collection. And like I said, Bridal Brown is one you can’t miss for anything at all.

Which shades have you liked most from this SUGAR Cocoa Nail Lacquer Collection? Have you tried any in this collection yet?

Sugar Cosmetics Metallic Nail Lacquers

Sugar Cosmetics Metallic Nail Lacquers

Sugar Cosmetics Metallic Nail Lacquers

Sugar Cosmetics Metallic Nail Lacquers

Sugar Cosmetics Metallic Nail Lacquers Collection has 6 new stunning shades and they are simply breath taking.

It’s not new that I love their Classic Nail Lacquers Collection, that’s the kind of formula I love any day. But these metallic nail lacquers changed me totally and I am always gravitating towards these every time I think of changing my polish. What’s so good?

Here’s what so good about the Sugar Cosmetics Metallic Nail Lacquers

Sugar Cosmetics Metallic Nail Lacquers

Formula –

The first thing I fell in love with is the formula. It applies like a dream and sets in a matter of seconds. Plus, it’s non-chipping and doesn’t need a top coat to protect it from scratches.

However, a top coat makes the polish last much longer than usual.

All the colors give an opaque finish at first application, just be liberal with the polish (don’t have to stick to the rule of applying thin coat)

Drying Time –

The second amazing thing is the drying time. By the time you are done with the last nail, the polish of the other nails is done settling. How cool is that?

Imagine all those rushed moments when you need perfect nails and don’t have time to sit around to let it dry!

These polishes are perfect for any day.

Colors –

The third one is the colors in the collection. I would be crazy if I don’t tell you the must have shade to pick from this collection. While I have 3 favorites from this collection, the one I absolutely loved at first swatch is the shade – 039 Bold as Brass.

This reminded me – Glam but badass kind!

It’s freaking beautiful.

Here are the swatches of 039 Bold as Brass from the Sugar Cosmetics Metallic Nail Colors Collection –

Sugar Cosmetics Metallic Nail Lacquers

This collection too has their signature packing and the brush is comfortable to apply the polish.

Also, unlike other metallic nail colors, these do not have that pungent scent. Plus, these are not too stubborn to remove too which is a major plus!

That said, I haven’t found anything which I disliked. I just hope they come up with more colors and also get black, gold and silver too!

Which shade was your first favorite? Which all entered into your cart to shop?

Fab Bag July 2017

Fab Bag July 2017 was particularly a much-awaited one for me. If you ask me why you are definitely living under the rock!

Again, Sugar Cosmetics is back with a bang and their new collection of lippies is to die for! I have been eyeing their Matte as Hell Crayons new collection and as expected Fab Bag July 2017 had one. And if you have been following me for a while, you know nothing makes me happier than a good lipstick!

Sugar Matte as Hell Crayon Lipstick in Jackie Brown

Full Size

Price – 799  ₹

Buy – Jackie Brown

This shade is a total bomb! I have been loving warm toned lipsticks quite a lot and this shade is just what I was hoping it would be.

Jackie Brown is beautiful terracotta brown with strong undertones of red. Imagine a super red brick color but in a softer hue.

Here’s a swatch –

Fab Bag July 2017

I love the fact that this shade can be toned up or down according to the mood. A gentle smudge of the lipstick with the finger tip softens this beauty to a subtle red-brown color which is spectacular when you don’t want to overdo your Lipper.

I have also tried adding a tiny bit of pink (Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson) to give a subtle pop of color and it looks amazing. And it stayed all night without a touch-up – survived popcorn, snacks and some munchies too! Need to say more?

KronoKare Hydrate The Hair Shampoo

Price – 165  ₹ for 55 ml

I have heard good raves of this brand, so I hope one day I push myself to try their products until then this is definitely a miss.

Just Herbs Enriched Skin Tint

Price – 385  ₹ for 15 gm

I have read so much about this tint from other bloggers that I wanted to try one soon. And am so happy Fab Bag included this in this month’s bag.

It’s quite a decent sized sample so it would be more than convenient to try this couple of times before concluding.

Have you tried this tint from Just Herbs yet?

Tvakh Fruit Enzyme Alcohol-Free Toner

Price – 160  ₹ for 50 ml

This brand is definitely new to me, but the sound of Fruit Enzyme and Alcohol-Free in the toner sounds pretty amazing to me.

And since I made up my mind (no idea why I can’t get myself to use a toner daily) to get back to using a toner again in my skincare routine, trying this out would be total fun!

So those were the products from this month’s Fab Bag. Have you booked your Fab Bag July 2017 yet?

Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Collection | Rust Lust & Brazen Raisin

Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick

Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Collection | Rust Lust and Brazen Raisin

Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Collection came just in time for the Valentines. This Liquid Lipstick Collection has a total of 10 shades, ranging from soft colors like Tan Fan which is a Mauve Nude to Pinks like Wine & Shine which is a beautiful Sangria color to Darker hues like Drop Dead Red which is a dark Red color.

Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick

While I am very curious about the Tan Fan shade {I loved their Holly Go Lightly (Matte as Hell Crayon Collection) and Breaking Bare (Vivid Lipstick Collection)}, am more eager to get my hands on Wine & Shine at the moment. I think it’s going to be a perfect Summer Party color (imagining the wedding and all that needs to be attended come this summer).

That said, they are also launching their next collection this month (so I guess) – Nail Colors in Classic and Matte. While I am super excited for the Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Collection, I can’t wait to check out their Nail Colors Collection!

But for now, here’s what Rust Lust and Brazen Raisin shades from the Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Collection look like –

Here’s what I love –

  1. Both these shades are perfect for day and night looks
  2. Both the colors are pretty and bold
  3. They work wonderfully as perfect Day wear lipsticks
  4. These are Fade proof, Smudge-proof and very Long lasting
  5. These are highly pigmented and matte colors

What I don’t Love –

  1. I don’t like the packaging and the applicator.

The brand has definitely set my expectations high with their Matte as Hell Lip Crayon Collection. I absolutely love the packing of that collection! When Smudge Me Not Collection packaging is compared to that, it definitely didn’t match my hopes!

Also, I find the applicator wand to be small and the tip slightly uncomfortable to get a precision application. Unlike other matte liquid lipsticks I have been trying recently, the wand is definitely small and the tip too wide.

But again, there is nothing a good lip brush can’t fix!

Besides, the formula and the colors from this collection are so amazing, I am seriously in love. Plus, these are definitely better than the ones I bought recently from other brands!

That said, if you are not into any packaging details much, this Collection is more than amazing. All the colors suit the Indian skin tones and there are 10 shades that will match every mood and preference.

As for me, Rust Lust is my top favorite at the moment! Though at times it looks a lot like Love Bug from ColourPop Cosmetics, Rust Lust is much brighter in person which makes it very appealing now that summer is just around the corner!

What have you picked from this collection? What’s your favorite?

Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson | Swatches Review

Beauty
Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson

Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson

Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson is the new lip shade from their Matte as Hell Lip Crayon Collection. I have been obsessed with their lip crayons ever since I got my hands on their Holly Go Lightly shade which is one of my favorite lip colors till date. Then I got my hands on Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson.

Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson

Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson

Price – 799 ₹

Buy here – http://www.nykaa.com/sugar-matte-as-hell-crayon-lipstick.html

At first glance, Rose Dawson and Holly Go lightly tend to look pretty similar unless you pay attention. While Holly Go Lightly is a peachy hue with the brown tint, Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson is a gorgeous hue of pink with undertones of light brown color. They are not at all same and both are worth having in the kitty if you tend to deviate more towards earthy tones with a hint of color like me.

The other shades in this collection are – Scarlet O’Hara (Red), Poison Ivy (Wine), Mary Poppins (Bright Pink) and Holly Go Lightly (light brown). Now I own almost all the shades in this collection except Scarlet O’Hara.

The velvety formula of these lip colors including Rose Dawson is pretty amazing. It initially applies as creamy color and settles finally as a complete matte. The color is pretty, perfect for every day and not so much into the face. However, this shade seemed to have washed me off a little and I observed that a good lip liner is a must to line the lips if you are looking for well-defined lips like me.

It is fairly long lasting (unlike Poison Ivy which tends to stay for a very little time) and comes with a sharpener.

One good thing about getting a sharpener is one can get a fairly pointed tip which helps in defining lips well. Other than that, I often feel sharpening lip crayon is wastage of the product!

After Holly Go Lightly, this is my next favorite shade from Sugar Cosmetics.

Have you tried this Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson lip shade yet? What are your thoughts?

September Fab Bag 2016

September Fab Bag 2016 has to be one of my favorites this year. This time the bag has a mascara, a face mask, face and body scrub, body wrap and nails tattoos. Can anything else be better than this? It felt like Christmas came early this time around!

Sugar Cosmetics Lash Mob Limitless Mascara – Black with a Bang

Price – 699

Buy – here

This is the newest launch from the Sugar Cosmetics and needless to say, it is also the highlight of this month’s bag.

I have been a fan of Sugar Cosmetics since I tried their Holly Go Lightly and Breaking Bare and I am hoping this mascara would wow me just like their lip crayons and matte lipsticks did.

On a quick try, I love how this mascara makes my lashes look thick and black! More on this later.

SaND for Soapaholics

Price – 236 for 20 gm

Buy – hereBBeauty

This is the first time I have got my hands on the product from SaND. I have read quite rave reviews about this mask from other bloggers and I can’t wait to see how it acts on my skin.

That said, I am glad I got this tiny tub of the face mask as this seems super convenient to carry on the travel. And it’s a detox mask, perfect for any day. Now with the vacation on my mind, I happy to see this in the bag!

AVA Deep Gorge Collection – Face & Body Scrub

Price – 325 for 100 ml

Buy – here

This came just in time! I tend to use face & body scrubs during this time of the year. And what’s best than getting a face & body scrub that looks like mini Christmas in a bottle.

This scrub is peachy-pink in color and smells heavenly. I can’t wait to use this and share my thoughts on same with you.

Neemli Naturals Tulsi & Sandalwood Body Wrap

Price – 550 for 75 gm

Buy – here

This is the first time I would be using a body wrap and considering the reviews I read abt this brand, I can’t wait to use and see the results myself. I am just hoping this stands up to its claims, I have few things on my wishlist from this brand already.

Nail Stickers from NFLM

Price – 80

Buy – here

This is probably the only one I am not so excited about. I wish they weren’t yellow looking but white ones. However, I might give a try just for practice as I have never tried nail stickers before. I know, but no design ever tempted me so much till now but seeing how lazy I feel these days and still wanting to have perfectly done nails, I think these would just serve the purpose for now.

So those were the products in the September Fab Bag 2016. Undoubtedly Sugar Cosmetics Mascara is my favorite of all followed by AVA Deep Gorge Collection – Face & Body Scrub and others.

What have you loved from September Fab Bag 2016?

July Fab Bag

July Fab Bag

July Fab Bag is simply fabulous (again!). They had me at the bag itself. The bag has lip/kiss print all over in a muted purple pink color and with the matching zipper. It’s one of my favorite bags so far ( I know I say this too often but it’s true), more so as it matches to my blog theme!

That said, here are the contents in the July Fab Bag –

July Fab Bag

July Fab Bag

Sugar Cosmetics Matte as Hell Lip Crayon in Poison Ivy

One of the best berry lip color in matte formula, this particular range is my favorite from Sugar Cosmetics.

First love being Holly Go Lightly followed by Mary Poppins, the Poison Ivy is the third that stole my heart. I can see myself wearing this all monsoon and winter, it is that good.

Another good thing about this shade is that it is pretty buildable. From pretty berry shade to a dark berry which nearly looks gothic, it’s one of the must-have lip colors.

Neemli Naturals Bengal Gram Exfoliator

This is another product am totally excited to try. I often use Bengal gram flour mixed with turmeric during colder months and this one just came in time.

This Bengal gram exfoliator contains turmeric, sandalwood powder, multani mitti, rice flour and yellow lentils; most of which I often use in my skincare on a regular basis. So am pretty sure, this is one of the products I would love trying out this month.

P.s – Did you know rice flour is often used in skincare products to brighten, lighten and get a radiant skin?

Pep Moisture Velvet Shampoo

Sample sized shampoos are one of my favorite things to see in the beauty bags! They not only make a perfect excuse to try something new before getting a full sized but also make a great option to carry when travelling.

One good thing about shampoo is it is SLS free and that’s a lot comforting to know before using! No?

Johara Instant Radiance Face Scrub

This creamy walnut scrub is gentle, free of chemicals and comes with a pleasant scent. It suits most of the skin types and gives a smooth, soft and buffed face without being harsh on sensitive skin.

One of the best scrubs I have used so far!

Overall a pretty satisfying bag again! And without a doubt, Sugar Cosmetics Matte as Hell Lip Crayon in Poison Ivy is my favorite of all!

On a side note, while the Fab Bag did offer to choose lipstick shade this time; this selection is available only to 3, 6 & 12 month subscribers apparently. Shade for 1-month subscribers are customized by their team. Bummer, I know!!

I guess this should answer many of you who were curious as how we got our favorite lipstick shade. Now all the more reason you upgrade your subscription to 3 months or more just incase they come up with more such offers in future!

Sugar Cosmetics | Matte as Hell Lip Crayon in Poison Ivy

Beauty
Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy

Sugar Cosmetics is one of my favorite names at the moment. From Kohls and Kajals to Lip Crayons, they have been my favorite ever since they launched. My first encounter with Matte as Hell Lip Crayon was with the shade Mary Poppins. The name itself excited me much; vintage-y pink was on my mind, like literally! And to my happiness it turned out to be a gorgeous pink with strong undertones of blue-violet which actually looks wonderful in real life than in photos.

And then came Holly Go Lightly, which knocked me out totally. It’s one of the best shades I own till date. It’s sort of peachy-nude which is a very soft and feminine color and is perfect for any day.

But for as long as I can remember Poison Ivy was on my mind but I never bothered to get my hands on it. Holly Go Lightly kept me too happy for as long as I can remember!

But when I found Sugar Matte as Hell Lip Crayon in Poison Ivy in my July Fab Bag, I jumped with joy! The timing couldn’t be anymore perfect, with colder months just around the corner it’s time to switch on to the darker hues and the like. So this was such a welcome!

Poison Ivy is a very pretty shade and one you must own at any cost if you love dark colors. This color is buildable from a pretty pink berry shade to much dark gothic like berry shade. It’s flawless even after hours of application and doesn’t settle in lines despite of re-applying to maintain that vampish look.

That said, I simply love how well it looks when blended with finger tips to give a soft rosy hue to the lips!

Here’s how it looks –

Sugar Cosmetics | Twist and Shout Fade Proof Kajal in Still Got The Blues

Beauty
Kajal

Kajal

Sugar Cosmetics Twist and Shout Fade Proof Kajal in Still Got The Blues is my new favorite. I was never a big fan of colored kajals until this one came along. I have always disliked the shade of blue on my eyes; they were always either too bright or too neon for my liking. Besides, I am more deviated towards dark colors for my eyes which only meant brown-black and black color till recently.

But Still Got The Blues changed the complete game. It’s intense, it is creamy and it glides smooth and easy. It works really well with Sugar Cosmetics Stroke of Genius Heavy Duty Kohl in Back to Black which I absolutely love. They together create a pretty intense and easy smokey winged eye without much effort. Here’s how it looks –

Kajal

Kajal

What I Love –

  1. It comes in easy to use twist applicator.
  2. It has creamy and intense formula.
  3. It has super smooth Velvety finish.
  4. It is Smudge proof and is very long lasting – upto 10 hrs without any touchups.
  5. It is free of mineral oil, preservatives, paraffin & parabens.
  6. It has benefits of kajal with goodness and precision of a gel liner.
  7. It has an anti-slip grip and super steady hold that helps in creating precision lines.
  8. It suits super sensitive eyes too and doesn’t tear up the eyes.

On the bright side, unlike other blue and ultramarine shades this one looks pretty, is not too much into the face and is easy on the eye. It also looks good when used on waterline and as well as to create a winged eye.

I personally love how absolutely fabulous it looks when paired with black to give that extra smoky effect to the winged eye.

And if you are like me who shies away from trying out blue kajal on eyes or totally new to colored kajals altogether, then this is the one you should give a go.

Sugar Cosmetics Stroke of Genius Heavy Duty Kohl in Back to Black

Beauty
kohl

kohl

Heavily rimmed kohl eyes are my go-to makeup any day. It is not only easy and quick to do but also keeps impatient people like me stay sane. Besides, there is a certain charm about kohl eyes that an eye makeup can’t do.
So I am here today to show you one of my favorite heavy duty kohl pencils that I instantly fell in love with.

Sugar Cosmetics Stroke of Genius Heavy Duty Kohl in Back to Black

At first glance this looked nothing special, but one swipe I stopped midway to check back what I was using on my eyes. It’s intense, it is super dark and it moves like a dream! I haven’t seen a kohl pencil that glides as smooth as this, plus the black color is so intense, I didn’t feel the need to reach out to mascara this time. If that isn’t enough, its waterproof formula stays upto 8 hours without any touchups. And since it is a wax based, it allows you to work seamlessly and effortlessly, be it – simply kohled eyes or classic winged eyes.
I usually intensify any kohl I use by swiping it many times on my waterline to get the dark color and the intense look, but with this one; I did 2-3 swipes max to make sure all corners and the lines came perfect and intense.

Heavy duty kohl like this is a dream come true!

One good thing about this is that comes with a free sharpener. I often deviate towards classic winged eye and trust me when I say, nothing works better than a well sharpened tip of a kohl pencil.

Thanks to this, now a classic winged eye is always on point!

That said, here’s a quick peek at the FOTD using this Stroke of Genius –

I simply love how easy and quick it was to do the Classic Winged Eye with this. This one for sure is a keeper and without a doubt a new permanent makeup essential for me!
